On Monday, September 15, 2025, The Kackling Kousins were at Hoover Bernina Sew in Mifflinburg to kickoff the new block-of-month for 2025-26, "El's Kitchen by Eleanor Burns." We had such a good time and the quilters learned some new techniques that will make their world of quilting a little easier. This BMO meets one time a month for six months. At the end of our time together each quilter will have a completed quilt top and additional friends that enjoy the art of quilting as much as they do!

The Kackling Kousins will be offering “Quilts from El's Kitchen” Sampler Block-of-the-Month at Hoovers starting Monday, September 15, 2025. The class will meet on the 3rd Monday of each month from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and will continue for six months. Scheduled dates are as follows:

Each month we will focus on two different blocks in the “Quilts from El’s Kitchen” sampler series. Students will come prepared to learn new techniques and sew the blocks in class.

In June 2025, the Kackling Kousins offered two classes on the patterns that they published: 1) Vintage Mini Dresdens, and 2) Mini Dresden Notebook Cover. The classes were so exciting as the quilters learned new techniques and brought to life these projects we created. Take a look for yourself, we had a great two days!
On Monday, May 19, 2025, the quilters at Hoovers completed Eleanor Burns' Tales of the First Ladies Quilt. Offering this class as a two block-a-month series gave everyone an opportunity to learn new techniques and get to know others who have the same passion for quilting. What a great group of creative ladies. The block variations were amazing. Take a look for yourself.

On Saturday, April 26, The Kousins conducted a workshop on Quilt-As-You-Go Civil War Style for the PA Quilters Guild in Wilkes Barre, PA It was a great day of quilting! Take a look at some of the beautiful fabrics that were used.
